Abstract:
Many analysts feel 10 Gigabit Ethernet is due for a major breakthrough in 2009. Today's HPC environments can achieve low-latency I/O using Gigabit Ethernet networking. Additionally, the HPC data center can dramatically lower power consumption through greater server utilization and more energy-efficient components, reduce floor space requirements with dense blade server and IP SAN form factors, and eliminate the hidden bottlenecks of virtualized workloads using 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Attendees will see competitive benchmarks results from well-known HPC applications.
