InfiniStor is PSPACE Technologies' new parallel cluster storage product. InfiniStor is based on newly developed cluster file system, OASISfs, jointly developed with Electrical & Telecommunication Research Institute (ETRI) in Korea. Designed for performance, capacity, failure-resilient, feature-rich, and self-operation ,OASISfs is a asymetric cluster file system with Multi Active Clusterd MDS, distributed chunk and multi-replica based distributed storage system. It provides advanced features such as DeDuplication, HOT-COLD file management, Hierarchical Storage Management, and multi-IDC Data Replication. Initial deployment of InfiniStor shows perfect operations in mixed environment of MS-Windows and Linux operating systems. InfiniStor is suitable for HPC, Internet Services, and general purpose storage system. This presentation will share experiences from several initial deployments with performance numbers. We will also show a couple of topics InfiniStor does not support, or does not support well (but plans to support), including: Dynamic Objects Format changes; support for additional operating systems; and the performance of recovery.
