The Eclipse Parallel Tools Platform (PTP) provides a robust, extensible, open-source platform for parallel application development. Release 2.1 features a parallel runtime, parallel debugger, remote target management tools, and analysis tools to aid the parallel application developer. We welcome participation from other organizations in this open-source project. A brief demo of PTP features will be shown. BOF topics will include: PTP support for job schedulers / resource managers, remote services including editing, launching and debugging remote targets, a more flexible resource manager infrastructure to make implementation of different job schedulers, MPI implementations, etc. easier, performance tools and a new framework to ease integration of existing command-line tools in Eclipse, analysis including detection of possible deadlocks due to MPI Barriers, information about the status of Fortran in Eclipse, and user input for desired features in future releases of PTP.
