The PBS software was originally developed at NASA Ames Research Center in the early 1990s. Today, there are thousands of customers of PBS Professional and over 30,000 sites using PBS technology, making it the most widely used software for workload management and job scheduling world-wide. Users are leveraging the PBS Professional software to extract maximum performance from multi-core architectures, reduce power use for Green computing, and build highly available, highly-scalable Grids and Clouds. The largest systems have been growing exponentially, from 100's of cores at the beginning of the decade to an expected 100's of thousands of cores before its end. This BOF brings together developers and users to share experiences, tricks, tips, as well as a look at the current status and future plans. Bring your curiosity, bring your ideas, bring yourself.
