SC08 Hotel Reservations Site to Open Monday, August 4

AUSTIN, Texas--If you’re planning to attend the SC08 conference in November in Austin, plan now to reserve your hotel room on Monday, Aug. 4, for the best selection of hotels. SC08, to be held Nov. 15-21 in Austin, is the international conference of high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis.

Starting at 9 a.m. (EDT) Monday, Aug. 4, approximately 1,300 rooms at conference hotels in downtown Austin will become available through the SC08 hotel reservation system. To access the hotel reservations site, go to: http://sc08.supercomputing.org/?pg=registration.html#hotels

By using the SC08 hotel reservation system, you will have a chance to reserve a room near the Austin Convention Center.

"In the past, it has sometimes been difficult for attendees to book a hotel room near the convention center, so this year we specifically held back well over 1,000 rooms near the convention center and will open them up at the same time conference registration opens, i.e., August 4," said SC08 General Chair, Prof. Patricia Teller. "Another new approach to housing this year is SC Your Way, a web site that helps attendees compare various hotels and choose the one that best suits their needs.”

The new SC Your Way site contains comprehensive information about each of the conference hotels and allows you to select and compare various hotels. Visit SC Your Way at: http://scyourway.nacse.org/
